We meet up on the saturday in the Maniototo near Naseby for our first night of the trail. Sunday sees us heading to the Idaburn area and on to the next woolshed.
On Monday we have the St Bathans mountains in front of us as we ride and drive to St Bathans village and the famous Blue lake.After a visit to the historic Vulcan pub we head out to our next overnight stop where we are based for 2 nights.
On wednesday we leave this area and pass through the Cambrians and into the Drybread area to our next woolshed.Thursday morning we leave here for Thomsons Gorge where we are spending the next night half way through the gorge.We will see and ride on,possibly, the new road put in by Santana Minerals for their new gold mine,quite a contrast from the historic mining area of St Bathans.
On friday we continue on through the gorge to a farm for our last night together as a trail.Saturday is a short ride to Tarras for the parade and market day and meal and Hoedown,a time to celebrate a week of traversing spectacular country.
